We would like to tell you all about the birth of our little girl!
Pia Maria DeLuca, born Saturday, June 14th at 12:25 am, 7.5 lbs.

Congratulations to you and your new baby girl. We have all been excited waiting for the arrival of Pia Maria. That was a long labor but already she's eating, a good sign, don't you think, of this new child's willingness to do the hard work of getting things right and her ability to figure out how feeding works? OK. Maybe I'm reading too much into the data but she is a wonderful child, and you, Mara and Gianfranco, are now parents! This is the 2nd grandchild for your Mom & Dad (sorry to hear of her untimely need for foot surgery; we wish her a speedy recovery), and the 2nd for D & G. You've surely made them very happy (and Sandy and me not just a little envious).
